Your brands is the feelings and emotions that are evoked in a potential client, when they come into contact with anything to do with you, your business or your brand.
Its everything that is client facing…you, the way you look and sound, your online presence, your websites, social media, etc etc.
Get your brand right, and your ideal client will flock to you. Get it wrong, and you risk attracting the wrong clients, repelling your ideal clients and ultimately loosing business.
Many years ago, when I first set up my photography business, I thought a brand was a logo and the colours you used on your website.
Dont get me wrong, this is still an important part of your branding. But as time has progressed having a brand has become so much more. It’s the overall impression and experience you give to your audience and customers.
You see, the world has got smaller and you can now buy or use services from all over the world. You can buy something from China and it will be here within a few days. You can use the services of a business coach who is based on the other side of the world.
Your competition has increased dramatically and there are hundreds of people doing what you do, and some that will even charge less than you.
So the only truly unique thing about your business, that no one else can replicate, is YOU!
You are your brand. It’s who you are, what you stand for and the value you provide.
You need to build that know like and trust factor and nurture your audience/customers.
People buy from people they like and trust and that they get know. Almost as if they are buying from a friend.
We love being noisy – Love having a peak into peoples lives
You can use that to your advantage in building your personal brand.
To get to the core of your brand and your business, you need to dig deep, take a step back and think about the following questions…..
What is your story? How have you got to where you are in your business?
Why do you do what you do – the why’s and the whos and what drives you day today. Who do you do it for?
Who are you and whats important to you.
Your history? – Whats brought you to this moment in your business and whats driving you to move forward in your business.
Think about What words would you use to describe…
Yourself, both negative and positive. Your strengths and your weakness’s
What words would other use to describe you? – You could ask friends as well as clients what words they would use.
What words would you choose to describe how you want your clients to see you?
What words would you use to describe your personal core values?
What thoughts and feelings do you want your business to invoke in a potential client.
Before we get together for your branding shoot we go though all of the above. This will give me an insight to you and your brand so we can create a images that are going to resonate with your ideal client.
We want to show you being you, you relaxing, behid the scenes in your business, interacting with clients.
