Being a business is this digital age can be overwhelming. There is so much visual content out there and your clients are getting constantly bombarded with images from all sort of businesses. So how do you stand out?

The job of your photos is to stop your audience from scrolling and read your content that you have written, but because of the amount of photos online, this can be challenging. Having professional photos is automatically going to help you stand out from all the smart phone images floating around.

When you use images that you have taken by a professional branding photographer, such as myself, you will not only get high quality images, but images that have a cohesive look and feel and truly reflect you and your business to your audience, helping to increase your relationship with them.

Its not all about business

You may be temped to think that your branding images need to be all about your business, where in reality they need to show so much more.

There are thousands of people who do what you do, that when it comes down to the deciding factor of who to work with, potential clients will always choose someone they relate to and like.

You and your personality are what will sway their mind to work with you rather that using “Sally down the road”.

Showing your hobbies, you enjoying life outside of work, out for a walk with the dog, even ordering a cuppa from your favourite coffee shop. These are all things that are going to allow your audience to get to know you.

People buy form people they know, like and trust. You can build all that simply by showing who you are outside of your business.

No one want to see my face all the time!

I call Bull Sh*t!

People want to know who they are investing their hard earned cash with. They want to see your face, they want to know what you look like. They cant get to know you if you are hiding behind cute Canva graphics or even worse, stock images!

People want to see real people, they dont give a flying Fu*k what a model is doing, they want to see you, with makes them far more comfortable using your services.

Update your website with your on brand images

Believe it or not, not everyone will discover you on social media, your website is an important part of your marketing strategy, even if its just one or two pages, it still needs to look and feel like you and your brand.

Having a website with smart phone images is going to turn people off. Dont get me wrong, there is a time and place for phones images, but the quality is going to look crap on a website.

Your images on your website need to look professional and be on brand.

You need a good head shot for your about me page as well as a more personal (yet still professional on brand) photo that shows you outside of work and then lots of other images showing what you do. This will give potential clients an idea of what it would look like to work with you.

If you are a coach for instance, you need images that are going to show you working with a client or even presenting to a room.

Look to the future

One thing a professional branding photographer will do is to get in to the nitty gritty of you and your business. They will find out all about you, your values, your ideal clients and your marketing messages and then create images that will help reflect that.

Gone are the days where your branding photos show you standing in a park, or sat at your desk smiling, nowadays you need images that relate to the content you are putting out!

You work with frustrated mums? Then show a photo of you with a kid wrapped around your leg, hair a mess with a really frustrated look on your face. This will stop the a potential client from scrolling and reading the content. A photo of you sitting at your desk wont do that.

A photo speaks a thousand words, my job is to use your marketing message and translate it in to an images that will speak to your audience. You will then have a library of images that fits perfectly with your brand and your messaging as well as having those filler images you need for blogs, newsletters, website place holders & marketing materials.

Having a good variety of on brand images makes showing up online easy. You will have all your photos to hand that you know are going to make you stand out, engage your audience, increase bookings and up sales.
