The aim of every business is to make money, to make money you need people who want what you do or sell.
No busines can survive without their clients and it’s a constant battel to attract the right ones who want to do business with you.
I hear it all the time from my Brand Photography clients and this is exactly what I help them with.
So here are my 4 top tips for getting more clients
Get visible
Yes this is my number 1 top tip and it’s the one most people find difficult. If I had a £1 for every time someone says to me I HATE being in front of the camera, I’d be a very rich woman!
But I promise you it is the most powerful and quickest way to get more clients.
People want don’t buy products and services, they buy stories and relationships. They want to get to know you and they want to have a reason to trust you. By being visible they get to meet you and learn all about you.
Professional brand photos will help to show who you are, who you help and how you help them, in the best light possible. As one of my recent clients said, “you made me look like me, but after a week at a spa”.
Going live and doing videos may fill you with dread and as an introvert myself, I can totally relate. But this is the best way to get your personality across to your audience and will help attract people who love you and repel people who don’t. By ging live on a regular basis you will stand out head and shoulders above the competition, cause I bet they are terrified of doing lives too. You don’t have to be perfect, just be you and I promise, it gets easier the more you do it.
Testimonials
Its so much more impactful when other people say just how amazing you are, so getting testimonials and reviews for you and your business, from your clients is a must.
Remember to use them in every aspect of your marketing…on social media, your website, in your email marketing and even in person.
If you can get them to do a video review, even better.
Create urgency
We all know life is busy and sometime see a great offer and think “yeah that looks really good”, then your child wants to show you the tower he built on his ipad and you totally forget to go back an purchase.
Sometimes people need a little incentive to act now. By creating urgency with statements such as “Just x amount left”, “offer ending x date”, “limited availability” will get people booking or buying a little quicker than they might have.
Networking
You need to be where your potential clients are! There’s no point in hanging out in a facebook group full of single women in their 20’s, if your ideal client is a working mum in her 30’s.
Once you find out where they hang out, engage, comment and add value in those groups. See if you can get a guest expert slot and give value and show you are the expert in your field.
Are you doing all of these things? If not, give it a try. You have nothing to loose, but a lot of new clients to gain.
